Tara Anderson

MABC, Certified Biblical Counselor (ABC)

Tara earned a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She is certified through the Association of Biblical Counselors and is a Certified Christian Trauma Care Provider (Level 1). She also holds a Master of Arts in Christian Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies.

For more than two decades, Tara has walked alongside women in every season of life, providing biblical encouragement, discipleship, and counseling. As a military wife and adoptive mom, Tara brings both personal understanding and biblical hope to families navigating unique challenges and life transitions. Her counseling experience includes helping women navigate grief, loss, broken relationships, traumatic life events, major life transitions, and seasons of deep discouragement. With compassion and patience, Tara seeks to faithfully apply the truths of Scripture, helping counselees lament honestly, grow in biblical hope, and experience God's sustaining grace in the midst of suffering.

Tara has been married for nearly three decades and has been blessed to raise five children, who are now launching into adulthood and establishing lives of their own. This season has given her the opportunity to devote more time to counseling while drawing on the perspective gained through decades of marriage, parenting, and walking with the Lord through life's joys and hardships.

Tara and her husband are active members of Redeemer Church of Denton, where she serves in a variety of ministries. Outside of counseling, she enjoys reading, exploring historical sites and museums, and volunteering in the community.

Tara offers secure telehealth (video) counseling sessions for women. She does not accept insurance, allowing her to provide biblically focused care without the constraints often associated with insurance reimbursement. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside women, pointing them to the hope, comfort, and lasting transformation found in the sufficient Word of God and the faithful care of Jesus Christ.
