About:
Kathy has an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A). She received her BFA in Photography with a minor in Communication Studies from the University of North Texas. Kathy is also a certified Biblical Counselor through the Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC) and has practiced lay counseling in local church and small group settings for over a decade.
Kathy is a certified ADHD professional. She provides pre-diagnosis screening, coaching, skills development, and offers support for individuals navigating family members with ADHD. She also provides therapy for those struggling with depression, anxiety, parenting issues, marital, and full-time ministry workers. As a follower of Jesus Christ, she takes a Christ-centered approach to counseling as she considers how to serve each individual in his/her particular situation, and believes a person is made up of both body and soul (Genesis 2:7-8). This may include utilizing therapeutic techniques and methodologies, completing clinical assessments, and/or strategic goal planning.
Kathy and her husband Jeff have been married for almost 20 years and have four children. They are member of Covenant Baptist Church, where Jeff serves as senior pastor. When she's not helping kids with school or running them to practice, Kathy enjoys exercising and sports, attending her kids' sporting events, and all things music and art. She may also consider herself a coffee snob and foodie and will talk about these things (probably too long) with others who share her passion.
* Kathy does not currently accept insurance. Self-pay only.
